Students enrolled in our Cosmetology program receive practical training and technical instruction. These include haircutting, hairstyling, hair coloring, texturizing, skincare, makeup, nail care, salon management, and state board training. Our students receive classroom training as well as training instruction acquired through hands-on experience with mannequins and guests. Upon completion, you will be ready for your lucrative career in the beauty field as a licensed Cosmetologist.

The basics of Barbering/Styling, Advanced Barber/Styling, Cutting and Styling, Design Techniques, Barber Science, The Chemicals and Treatments, Anatomy, Industry Related Business Principles, Barber Boards, Operating in the Field and Practical Application.

The curriculum includes a total of 1000 hours of theory and practical applications. The course content covers both basic and advanced phases of Barbering Hairstyling. The subjects covered in a sequential order include the following: Haircutting, Shaving, Sanitation and Hygiene, Massaging, Shampooing, Facials, Shop Management, Laws and Regulations, Hair Coloring, Hair Relaxing, Hairpieces, Hair Waving and Hair Styling. This course prepares the student for entry-level employment as a Barber/Stylist.

The full-time training schedule includes 35 clock hours per week. Approximately nine 28 1/2 weeks to complete.

Cosmetology Cross-Over to Barber

Program Length: 11 1/2 weeks

This 400-hour course is designed for the applicant who has completed the California Cosmetology Course and/or holds a California Cosmetology license. This course includes 40 hours of theory instruction and 320 hours of practical training. The instructor, depending on the student’s needs, will assign an additional 40 hours of theory instruction.

Cosmetology Cross-Over to Barber
The subjects covered include Haircutting, Shaving, Sanitation and Hygiene, Massaging, Shampooing, Facials, Shop Management, Laws and Regulations, Hair Coloring, Hair Relaxing, Hairpieces, Hair Waving, and Hair Styling. This course must be completed in four (4) months. This course prepares a licensed Cosmetologist to provide the services of a Barber in the State of California.

Master Educator provides the backbone of the instructor theory for the barbering, beauty, and wellness educator. This course presents educators with the teaching skills and educational judgments necessary to become effective and successful instructors. The content in Master Educator is designed for flexibility, being used in programs ranging from a basic overview of instructor training to programs that require more advanced teaching techniques. Presented in a conversational, easy-to-understand style, it uses many pedagogical features to emphasize important information and powerful teaching techniques.
