Sources of Financial Aid

There are several ways to help cover the cost of your education:

Federal Pell Grant
This is money you may qualify for that does not have to be repaid.
Eligibility is based on your financial situation and is determined through your FAFSA.

Subsidized Direct Student Loan
This loan is based on financial need.
👉 The government pays the interest while you’re in school.

Unsubsidized Direct Student Loan
This loan is not based on financial need.
👉 Interest begins accruing while you’re in school.

Federal PLUS Loan (Parent Loan)
Parents of dependent students may apply for this loan if approved based on credit.

How Funds Are Disbursed

  • Financial aid funds are sent directly to the school
  • Funds are applied to your tuition account
  • You must be attending and making satisfactory progress to receive funds
  • Any remaining balance on your account must be brought current at the time of disbursement
